After seeing “Figures of Speech”, Virgil Abloh’s first museum exhibition at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago, and the electrifying orange Louis Vuitton Pop Up, Panda was so inspired by Virgil and his Chi-Town takeover, she had to create one of her Louis Vuitton Label Whores to honor him and his brilliant mind.
Willing to go to jail to get the orange paint on her work of art to match the LV Pop Up, Panda drove over with a hammer, a chisel and a razor to try and scape some paint off of the back of the building. Lucky for Panda, she got the paint samples she needed much easier than she anticipated and didn’t end up in jail for defacing property.
Filled with inspiration, Panda went to sleep at night thinking of the new sculpture she was creating and ended up dreaming that she created a massive Label Whore sculpture 72”x 68” for the window displays at Louis Vuitton.
